Why was it recalled?
Cummins, Inc. (Cummins) is recalling certain L9 diesel engines, part number D563027BX03. The remote fuel filter hoses may separate from the fitting, causing a fuel leak and an engine stall.
Consequence
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.
What should you do?
Dealers will replace the fuel hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 20, 2026. Owners may contact Cummins customer service at 1-800-286-6467. Cummins number for this recall is C7311. Engines remedied under Recalls 23E055, 24E038, or 25E004 will need to have the new redesigned parts installed.
