About RecallFlag
RecallFlag collects official U.S. recall data every day and turns it into fast, searchable pages — one per recall, plus lists by brand, category, hazard, state, month and vehicle model.
Where the data comes from
- FDA — food, drug and medical device enforcement reports via openFDA (2,938 food, 1,547 drug, 5,876 device recalls).
- CPSC — consumer product recalls via the SaferProducts.gov Recalls API (950).
- NHTSA — vehicle, equipment, tire and child-seat recalls from data.transportation.gov and NHTSA's recall flat files (1,929).
The site covers recalls published since October 8, 2024.
Limitations
- FDA enforcement reports are published weekly and can lag the company's own announcement by days or weeks.
- Hazard tags, product types and states are assigned automatically from the agencies' text and can be wrong or incomplete.
- Vehicle recall pages list models and years named in the recall; not every vehicle is affected. Always check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Independence
RecallFlag is independent and not affiliated with the FDA, CPSC, NHTSA or any government agency. This site may show advertising to cover running costs.
