Why was it recalled?

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain side curtain air bag (CSA) assemblies sold as replacement parts for 2014-2021 Toyota Tundra Double Cab and CrewMax vehicles. The side curtain air bag may have been improperly rolled, causing an improper air bag deployment.

Consequence

Improper air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

What should you do?

Dealers will inspect and replace the CSA assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed September 25, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26TK03 and 26TH03.
