Maps Reviews Exporter privacy policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Maps Reviews Exporter is a browser extension that exports the Google Maps reviews of a place you are viewing to a CSV or JSON file.

What the extension reads. When you click "Collect reviews", it reads the place details (name, address, rating, review count) and the reviews shown in your Google Maps tab: reviewer name and public profile link, rating, date, review text, owner response, photo and like counts. To load more reviews it scrolls the reviews list, clicks "More" on long reviews and, if you choose a sort order, uses the Maps sort menu, the same as you would by hand. It does nothing on other websites.

Where your data goes. The reviews are kept only in your own browser (extension storage) until you export, copy or clear them. Exports are created on your computer. The extension has no servers of its own and no analytics, and it never sends the reviews anywhere.

License checks. If you buy Pro, the license key you enter is sent to our payment provider (Gumroad, Polar or Lemon Squeezy) to confirm it is valid, and re-checked about once a week. In Firefox, you are asked for permission before the key is sent. Nothing else is sent with it. The payment provider's privacy policy covers your purchase details.

No sale or sharing. We do not sell, rent or share any data. We do not use data for advertising, credit decisions or any purpose other than running the extension.

Your control. Click "Clear collected reviews" in the extension to delete the saved reviews. Removing the extension deletes all of its stored data. You are responsible for how you use the reviews you export, including respecting Google's terms and the privacy of reviewers.

Contact. Questions can be sent through the support link on the extension's store listing.
